Is there parking at your location?

Yes, there is underground parking available.

Where do I make reservations?

The cafe seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Does the cafe have free WiFi?

Yes, the cafe offers free wifi to customers.

Can I study or work from the cafe?

Yes, our customers may use the cafe to work or study.

Can I bring outside food when visiting the cafe?

Purchases at the cafe are your donation that helps keep our community hub open for free events. 

Why is my purchase at Studio.89 called a donation?

Great question! As a non-profit community hub, the revenue earned from our cafe goes towards free community programs.

We are a social enterprise that sells goods to support our social, cultural, and environmental mission.

How do I book an event or check available dates?

If you’re looking to book an event at Studio.89 and need to check if a date is available, please visit the event page on our website. 

Please book here when you’re ready to fill out the booking form.

How long does it take to confirm my booking?

We need 2-5 business days to confirm your booking. Event booking is finalized only after a confirmation email is sent by our staff.

What is the event capacity limit?

Our capacity is based on which space you book:

  • Roughly 50 people seated in the Daniels Presentation Center
  • 27 people seated in the cafe

Many events that exceed seating capacity can accommodate standing attendees.

Weather permitting, the patio is also available for bookings. 

Please speak with us if you are expecting more people.

What is the difference between, private, closed, and public events?

Private Event: the venue is closed to customers, and the entire space is booked specifically for your event. Events booked before or after operating hours are also considered private bookings.

Private event fees are outlined in our booking package.

Closed Event: the venue is open to customers but is private to your party. This is a free booking.

Public Event: the venue is open to customers, and your event is open to the public.

 

 

Can I bring my own food/outside catering?

We are a non-profit community hub that maintains free event space. For this reason, we encourage all purchases through our cafe. If you are interested in catering from us, please have a look at our catering menu

Looking for something specific that isn’t on our catering menu?  Please contact us and we can find a vegan alternative to anything you desire from pizza to cakes, we can do it all.
